So for you today I have the easiest scone recipe I have ever found that you can enjoy in literally 15-20 minutes!

To begin with lets get into what ingredients you need! I have successfully used the whole and half the recipe so bear this in mind when your making them, its easy to make just as many as you need!

Ingredients: Whole Recipe

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 3/4 cup of milk

Ingredients: Half Recipe

  • 1 Cup of flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 25 grams of butter
  • 1/4 cup of milk and then 1/2 of a 1/4 approx of milk!

The great thing about scones is the amount of ingredients needed is so little! It means you should always have the ingredients in your pantry to make this delicious treat whenever you may need them!

Scones are great for so many different situations! They are practical and well loved as they can be so plain by themselves everyone has a favorite topping to add to them! Whether it’s butter or jam and cream!

Scones work for:

-When visitors pop in

– When you feel like a sweet easy lunch

– Great for meetings or planning sessions

– Great for over a cup of coffee or tea

– Perfect for just about any situation involving a treat!

Scones truly work for just about anything! So without a doubt let’s talk about how to make them!

  1. Preheat your oven to 230*c!
  2. Sift your flour and baking powder and salt together into a bowl! (I currently don’t have a sieve so I just mix it aggressively with a fork!)
  3. Next you want to cut in your butter! You can do this with your hands or with a fork! With your hands you can pinch the butter or Marg into the flour mixture, or you can use a fork to work the butter into flour mixture. The goal is for the mixture to resemble fine bread crumbs.
  4. Create a well in the center add the milk and quickly mix it in to form a soft dough. The key with light fluffy scones is to not over mix!
  5. Flour a board and your hands and put the dough onto the board. Knead super briefly then press out into a log, 2cm approx. thickness.
  6. Cut into any shape you so desire and place onto a baking tray with baking powder!
  7. Bake for 10 minutes then serve them warm! They are delicious warm and super fresh!
